The date is 18/01/26, and SOLITERA has it’s first public update! Below are some details about the new features in this new build:
ALL GAME MODES:
> A timer has been added to the UI. This will activate after the first turn. After a game is finished, the player’s time will be recorded.
> A turn counter has been implemented into the UI. The player can now view how many turns have passed since the start of the game.> An undo function is now available to use. The player can set the limit of how many undo attempts they want to have available per game.
> A score system has been implemented. Placing cards correctly will now increase the score. The final score is also recorded on the victory screen.
> Basic sound effects have been added. Sounds for placing and flipping cards can now be heard in-game.
> Using the scroll wheel, the player can now scroll up and down the board if needed.
> A progress counter has been implemented in the UI. Once the progress reaches 100%, the player can select the ‘FINISH!’ button to automatically finish the game.
KLONDIKE:
> A ‘Draw 3’ variation of the game is now available to play. In this mode, the deck will now draw three cards instead of one at a time.THE MAIN MENU:
> A new ‘Rules’ sub-menu has been added. The game’s rules can be customized here. Currently, the ‘Draw Option’ and ‘Undo Limit’ can be adjusted via this menu.
SETTINGS:
> Likely the most notable addition of this update is a settings menu. This currently has the option to disable Assist Mode, as well as change the window format and volume of the game. This menu system will be largely built upon in upcoming updates.
